Joseph Ayo Babalola University [JABU] Admission Requirements

Prospective students wishing to apply for undergraduate admission into one of our colleges must possess any one of GCE, O Level, SSCE (WAEC), NECO, NABTEB or its equivalence with minimum credit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at one or two sittings. Interested candidates who have already applied to JAMB for admission and wish to change their first choice of university to Joseph Ayo Babalola University are required to:

1. Apply for a change of institution through JAMB.

2. Fill out our online application form or obtain a Joseph Ayo Babalola University application form.

3. Participate in the screening exercise.

Prospective students still awaiting their results can also apply provided their results will be available by September of the intended year of study.

COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL & NATURAL SCIENCES

Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Economics is required for prospective candidates of the college of Agricultural Sciences.

2. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics is required for prospective Biochemistry (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

3. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any of Biology, Chemistry, Economics or Geography is required for prospective Computer Science (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

4. An Agricultural Science degree is acceptable in lieu of Biology for prospective Microbiology (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

5. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any of Biology, Chemistry, Economics or Geography is required for prospective Physics Electronics (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

 A pass in Physics is acceptable for admission to study an Agricultural-related programme.

COLLEGE OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

PGC

Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any one of Agricultural Science, Biology, Building Construction, Economics, Fine Arts or Technical Drawing is required for prospective Architecture, Building, Estate Management and Quantity Surveying (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

2. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English, Mathematics, Geography and any other two subjects is required for prospective Urban and Regional Planning (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES

Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English and any other four subjects in Arts and or Social Sciences subjects is required for admission for prospective candidates of the college of humanities.

2. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English and any other four subjects which must include Literature in English is required for prospective English (Bachelor of Arts) candidates.

3. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English and any other four subjects which must include Government or History is required for prospective History and International Studies (Bachelor of Arts) candidates.

COLLEGE OF LAW

Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 relevant credit in WASC (SSCE), NECO or its equivalence listed for the programme; two of which must be at A level is required for prospective Law (Legum Baccalaureus, LLB) candidates.

2. An ordinary national diploma (OND) with upper credit or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) at credit level from any institution of learning recognised by Joseph Ayo Babalola University can also be considered for admission for prospective Law (Legum Baccalaureus, LLB) candidates.

3. A Joseph Ayo Babalola University diploma can also be considered for admission for prospective Law (Legum Baccalaureus, LLB) candidates.

4. A diploma from any other recognised university can also be considered for admission for prospective Law (Legum Baccalaureus, LLB) candidates.

COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects is required for prospective Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Insurance (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

2. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English, Mathematics and any other 3 subjects is required for prospective Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

COLLEGE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

Admission Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects is required for prospective Economics (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

2. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language and Literature-in-English with at least a pass in Mathematics is required for prospective Mass Communication (Bachelor of Science) candidates.

3. A minimum of 5 O level credit or its equivalence in English Language, Government/History and any other 3 subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics is required for prospective Political Science (Bachelor of Science) candidates.
