Al-Qalam University, Katsina Vice Chancellor Approves Ten Appointments

The Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University Katsina, Prof. Shehu GarkiAdo has appointed Dr. Abdulnasir Isah as the Dean, StudentAffairs of the University for a period of two years with effect from June 25th, 2020. Until his new appointment, Dr. Isah was the Acting Director, ICT and HOD, Mathematical Sciences. Dr. Armaya’u Umar Zango takes over as the new Acting Director, ICT and HOD, MathematicalSciences. Also for a period of two years.

The Vice-Chancellor appointed Dr. Amina Mohammad Sani of the Department of Islamic Studies as the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies for a period of two years. An Acting Director for the newly established Institute of Semi-Arid Zone Studies of the University was also appointed. He is Dr. Mansir Abubakar of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. 

Prof Shehu Garki Ado also approved the appointment of Dr. Tahir Abdurrahman as the Acting Head ofEducation Department for a period of one year. Dr. Muhammad Sagir Adam of the Department of African Languages was appointed as the Sub-Dean, SchoolofPostgraduate Studies for a period of two years, while MalamaRukayya Muhammad Yunusa of Library Department is the new Acting Deputy Dean, Student Affairs for a period of one year.

The newly established Guidance And Counselling Directorate of the university has Mallam Abdullahi Charanci of the Department of Education as the Acting Director. Mallam Rabi’u Sabo of the Registry Department is also to serve as the Acting Director for the newly established Sports Directorate for a period of one year. While congratulating the ten appointees, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shehu Garki Ado urged them to work hard and remember Allah in discharging their responsibilities
