While handing the miracle child to VC, to the excitement and admiration of Dr Mrs Chinyere Nwajiuba, Wife of VC, Mrs Odisa Okeke, Registrar, Chris Uwadoka, Ag. Director, Partnerships and Mrs Afoma Ifemene, Wife of Anglican Bishop of Ikwo Diocese, over joyed Enene Fonne announced that she had to present the baby to VC as mark of honour and in appreciation of all his prayers, encouragement and support in her marriage and throughout her difficult times in the pregnancy.

The very happy mother, testified, while chatting with PRO, that she lost two earlier pregnancies before she was referred to Queens Clinic and Maternity, Wuse, Zone6, Abuja, at the third instance and that God used the hands of the medical personal there to deliver her from series of multiple complications that almost took her life and that of the baby. She expressed her joy that at the end, God heard prayers, had mercy and blessed her with the baby called Miracle.

Enene further stated that she is mostly excited by the enormous support, encouragement, care and prayers of VC, Prof Chinedum Nwajiuba, to the extent that he sent a delegation of two senior staff, Prof Nnenna Nwosu – Nworuh (Dean, Faculty of Humanities) and Chris Uwadoka (Ag. Director, Partnerships) to visit her while at the hospital at Abuja and also told her prayerfully that the storm will be over and that he (VC) was looking forward to the day she will present her child to him. “ Today, I am happy that I survived and today I am presenting the child to you Sir and his name is also Chinedu”, Enene enthused.
Receiving the baby Chinedu, elated Prof Chinedum Nwajiuba said that it is prayer answered, stressing that it all happened because “ God knows your heart and your love for humanity and Him.” He prayed that the Almighty God will bless the Father, Mother and Child and all women and parents waiting on God for fruits of marriage.
Mrs Afoma Ifemene, Wife of the Bishop of Ikwo, Anglican Communion, offered prayers and blessed the new born and mother, thanking God for saving her daughter and seeing her through all her challenges and for blessing her and her husband with the special baby she referred to as “ David of our time.”
