Igbinedion University Appoints A New University Librarian

The Governing Council of Igbinedion University Okada has appointed a new University Librarian for the university. He is, Dr. Lucky Tijani Abdulsalami.

Dr. Abdulsalami before his new appointment had a robust work experience from within and outside the country.  He worked as a Lecturer in the Library and Information Science at the Institute of Education, ABU Zaria, and later moved to Federal University of Lafia, Nassarawa State where he engaged in teaching, research and practical librarianship.

He rose to become the University Librarian and Head of Department of Library and Information Science of the same university.

Dr. Abdulsalami was later appointed an Associate Professor on the 1st of July 2019 at the Legacy University, The Gambia, West Africa, the position he held until his appointment as the University Librarian of Igbinedion University- Nigeria’s Premier Private University. Dr. Abdulsalami is widely published in both local and international journals. He has since resumed duty.
