The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Liman, has expressed gratitude to the federal government for its continued support to the university.
Liman stated this when he, along with his counterpart from Abubakar Tafawa Belewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, paid a visit to the office of the Hon. Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, in Abuja.
Prof. Liman said he was in the minister's office to thank him, in particular, and the Federal Government for the support FULafia has enjoyed under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and to discuss other issues pertaining to the development of FULafia.
He said the University Community was happy with the transformation witnessed in the institution since the assumption of office of the President in 2015.
In his response, the minister described Prof. Liman as a visionary administrator who "is determined to quickly develop the Federal University of Lafia, despite the meager resources at the university's disposal."
He said that the Federal Government would continue to provide infrastructure in all institutions of learning for effective teaching, learning, and research activities.
He, therefore, called on vice-chancellors and other heads of institutions to key into government's programmes and policies "aimed at making our schools better."
